Traditional Wedding Dresses in Egypt
16th century brides often wore blue to symbolize
purity. From the 8th century they wear white
gowns. Rich women could wear red, purple or black
dresses.
The materials were: satin,
damask or velvet. . The dresses had long sleeves and long trains . Some of them had flowers, ribbons and
precious stones on them.
