Traditional Wedding Dresses in Egypt

16th century brides often wore blue to symbolize purity. From the 8^th century they wear white gowns. Rich women could wear red, purple or black dresses.  

The materials were: satin, damask  or velvet. . The dresses had long sleeves and long trains . Some of them had flowers, ribbons and precious stones on them.
